Nurtured Nest’s First Children’s Exhibition in Singapore

This June, Nurtured Nest held our very first children’s art and learning exhibition in Singapore — a milestone that will always remain close to our hearts. It was a resounding success, made possible by months of hard work, collaboration, and the unwavering support of our community.

A Celebration of Community and Support

We were deeply honoured to be joined by families, peers in education from Bucket House Preschool, and Jessica Deeprose, Pedagogy Consultant from REACH. Their presence and encouragement highlighted the strong bonds within Singapore’s early childhood education community.

The exhibition reminded us that raising children is never the work of one individual or school alone — it is a partnership between families, educators, and the wider community.

Children’s Voices on Display

At the heart of the exhibition were the children’s voices. Their reflections, artwork, and stories were featured throughout the displays, inviting visitors to see the world through their eyes. Every quote, drawing, and installation captured their curiosity, emotions, and creativity.

This wasn’t simply an exhibition of children’s work — it was a powerful statement that children are capable contributors with ideas worth sharing.

Creativity Turned Into Action

Adding a unique dimension, the children created their own merchandise to share with visitors, blending creativity with entrepreneurship. Their handmade items included:

  • Hand-dyed T-shirts inspired by their explorations of colour

  • Postcards featuring their original artwork

  • Tie-dyed tote bags filled with individuality and joy

  • Seed pod gifts, symbolising growth, renewal, and our connection to nature

These items weren’t just souvenirs — they were meaningful expressions of the children’s learning journeys and a testament to their ability to turn ideas into action.

A New Chapter for Nurtured Nest

This first exhibition was a celebration of who we are as a Reggio-inspired preschool in Singapore: a place where children’s voices are valued, where community matters, and where creativity leads the way.

We are deeply grateful to our families, partner schools, and educational peers for walking alongside us on this journey. Above all, we are proud of our children — their courage, creativity, and curiosity lit up the exhibition hall.

This marks only the beginning. We look forward to hosting more exhibitions in the future, continuing to give children a platform where their voices can be seen, heard, and celebrated.
